- **Event Description**: Every week, more than 600 students attend classes at our academy of traditional music and dance. There they learn oud, hurdy-gurdy, cajon, banjo, boleadoras, saz, oriental percussion, gaita and kora …. Others learn to play the repertoire of Afro-Colombian music, Balkan music or Mexican Son Jarocho together. They perfect their skills on an instrument, discover the richness of another culture and then share musical moments with their teachers and other students.

Traditionally, the students and their teachers are highlighted during the End of Season. During these two days, they present their work, the result of several weeks of lessons, and showcase different musical cultures flourishing in Brussels. During the End of Season, we travel just about everywhere in the world: from West Africa to the Balkans, through the south of Spain, to arrive via the Middle East to the other side of the ocean: Latin America!

Come along and who knows, maybe you will be on stage with them next year.

The End of Season will take place at De Vaartkapoen, Schoolstraat 76, 1080 Sint-Jans Molenbeek.
